  • We don’t yet have evidence of GenAI’s long-term impact on young people’s social connectedness, and the evidence of short-term impact varies. Most agree that there is no one-size-fits-all guidance for how young people should be using this technology. So we need a different approach.
  • One of the most important things adults who care for young people can do to support them is talk about it. 
  • Fear, judgment, and stigma surrounding the use of GenAI for connection can push this use into secrecy, making it harder for adults to engage them in conversation and provide support and guidance.
